Re: Founderguard

I have never heard of it or used it.

I have been heartbroken 3 times in the last 10 years with Lami.

Once with my own pony Conker whos life we fought to save after a misdiagnosis of Cushings (dont ask) then his pedal bone came down and ruptured. It broke my heart Conker was my darling, my bucking buddy, I used to ride him before he became ill in Shetland grand nationals on the yard, he used to buck and torment me - broke my heart when I held him as he was PTS and laid there with his lifeless body wishing it was all a dream and he would get up again.

Again with Kaz, my friends mare I used to look after her and treat her as one of my own, Kaz was so sweet and had the most wicked seance of humour, years my friend battled with Lami and when Kaz went she phoned me to say she'd gone as she didnt want me to find out from others.

My third experience was not so great, I and my dad knew it was Lami Rocky had and pleaded and begged his owner to listen, she didnt - she was more interested in her holidays to the south of France and Barbados while her horse was dying, I also blame the farrier she had - My farrier would have given her what for and given her a real hard time - I blame myself also as I wish Id called the ILPH in as Rocky was being abused and neglected.

One of the girls who I begged and pleaded with it was Lami and to keep in and put him on just hay and water and not turn him out on grass said 'Oh its not Lami' I feel I let Rocky down and should have reported his neglect weeks before he died when I knew it was lami
