How much experience do you have because you could try horse share where you pay towards the keep of someones horse and you make arrangements on what days you have responsibility...... horses cost a lot of money to keep and take up a lot of time, horse share would give you an idea of how much money and time they need.... if you don't have a lot of experience why not go along to your local riding school and offer to work for free for a day or more a week to gain some experience. I started riding when I was 5 and when I was 7 I was working every saturday at my local riding school ( you could back in those days lol) I had my own pony when I was 11, then when I was 16 I went away to live in to take my BHSHM...... you need the experience before you buy a horse or pony
