Bad day at yard :(

Went up to take my hunny in after triennial rain and thunder and lightning, as i was walking him back i noticed some bail string on his hoof, got him in stable and went to see where it was thinking it was stuck in his frog, only to find its stuck between his hoof and shoe (just had him shod this wed) so i got my partner up to try and remove it after a hour of me trying, pliers didn't work so Ive cut the string short as we cant get it out!

what should i do Hubby says it will work its way out?

Ive checked his paddock and i cannot find any more string don't even know where hes got it as hays no where near his park.
