On saturday I managed quiet a feat..even for me!! I fell off...TWICE!!!!!!!

First one was a silly spook and I wasn't concentrating and I just plopped on the floor!! Second was slightly more dramatic!! We'd gone out with the 'sensible' man on the yard because on friday Kane and his mate Rocky had been nuts on the hack so me and Vic had asked Jon to come with us cos his horse is very safe and would bring our 2 down abit...nope our 2 just made his more giddy!! Anyway we trotted back from the lake for approx 1 mile thinking this would make them tired!! Got into the big field (80 acres of flat field) and before we'd even shut the gate Kane shot off!! I managed to stop him and turn him round but Rocky was literally leaping from the floor, so we said we'll just let them go and they'll get it out their system!! All was fine, we were going very fast but it was under control, until Rocky and Kane got side by side and then it was apparent neither of us could stop!! Me thinking, that's fine Kane can't gallop for 80 acres he's too big to go fast for that long..Vic shouted she knew Rocky would stop before we got to the 2nd field so she wasn't bothered. Next thing out of the corner of my eye I saw 'sensible' Jasper coming hell for leather alongside me...Jon had lost total control and Jasper was heading for Kane!!! Now Kane is blind in his left eye so he didn't seen him coming and when Jasper ran right in front of him, he just slammed the brakes on...hence me doing a flying lesson over his head and landing in a heap!!!

I winded myself really badly, the last 2 days I've had whiplash and my bum is absolutely killing me!! But considering the speed we were going I'm extreamly relieved how little I actually hurt!! I was expecting a hospital visit to be honest so I'm happy!! I rode him again on Sunday and yesterday even though I was in pain I had to, managed a couple of jumps yesterday before he decided to be silly again so I left it before I got hurt again!!

Who says cobs are quiet eh????

It was quiet funny to be honest! I kept getting the giggles cos Vicky said all she could see was Jon, not even pulling at the reins but saying 'woh jasper woh'..she said I wanted to shout ' don't bloody just say woh use your brakes!!!'

Yeah I tried that last week!! Kane is usually a good boy and doesn't run off unless asked, but last week he decided to go with the 2 pony's and teenagers!! They said they looked back and saw me quietly walking behind them, and the next thing it sounded like thunder as this huge horse came gallopping passed!! He waited for 30 seconds while they ran off and obviously thought it looked like fun so went from walk to gallop...I think I screamed a bit!!!

trouble is no one tell's them they'r cob's do they. hope your ok?

I used to have a palamino called Tansho and had many a fall and gallop when i didnt want too!!!

But they sound so funny when your telling people the stories.
