Re: does anyone know...
I know when I was looking I just searched various sites on the internet. But there is always looking on the ad board at your local pet shop or equestrian shop. You could also look in the horse magz? (not sure if they do loans or not). Word of mouth, ask around, it seems that every horse person knows every other horse person in the same area in some way and they might know someone you could contact. Other than that I don't know. I never went through with a loan myself and just bought my own so I didn't try all that hard to find one. Hope this helps, good luck <3

Re: does anyone know...
Have a look on sites where horses are for sale. Have a look on stable talk as there a few horses on there for loan. Are you after a full loan or a share? If you want a share then ask around at local yards to you to see if anyone is needing a sharer or might know of a horse to loan/share.

Re: does anyone know...
I would start by going to a riding centre and taking some lessons. Not that the riding itself is the most important part, but it will give you your mojo back with dealign with horses.
I always recommend to anyone wanting a horse to part loan or share a horse for a while so that the owner can show you how to look after a horse and give you the confidence to look after it alone. Just getting one is a HUGE step and if you dont know what your doing it can be a disaster. If you are going to loan one from the off make sure you are on a yard. I REALLY do not recommend getting one and being totally alone in it. |

Re: does anyone know...
I've found shares from Gumtree and my recent one was from Find a horse to loan or share | Horse Shares UK
I also checked out Horses for loan and horses for share in the UK and Europe from HorseToLoan.com. I would agree with making sure you're on a yard with access to help if you need it. I ride out / school alone most of the time and have the yard manager's number on speed dial as well as the owner in case anything were to happen or if I'm unsure about anything. |

Re: does anyone know...
Visit local saddlery shops - many have boards where people can post adverts. Also try looking on the web sites of riding clubs in your area.
Other than that just search the web for horses for loan. |
