Re: A no brainer?
Sounds as though the new horse is kept on full livery, which could cost £200 a week, depending on where you live, though I'm guessing it's £400 a month and the owners were looking for half.
I think if the new horse is a much better match for you and you ride him every week, what you save in travel costs and that you'll ride more often, it makes him about the same price as the one you have now at £20 a ride, so I'd say go for it. ![]() If you aren't getting on with your current share, I think you're right and it's a no brainer. Good luck. ![]() |

Re: A no brainer?
Thank you - you're right about the livery costs and I'd love to take the offer of essentially unlimited riding for £200 but I dont quite have it spare and it could make thinks difficult for me.
I do feel bad about potentially pulling out of my current share but I cant say its the easiest arrangement. Fingers crossed for the trial ride! ![]() |

Re: A no brainer?
The terms are most likely to be £100 per month for one ride every Saturday. They may also look into making Saturday a DIY livery day so I would do the jobs on the day to help make up my contribution to nearer their £200 target.
