Lesson Progression

I don't know what I was imagining, but I am glad I am picking up quickly seeing as up until a month ago I'd not been on a horse for over 6 years!

I have had two half hour lessons and an hour one. First lesson we did alot of trotting, and cantered round half the arena.
Second lesson got stuck in the very small indoor as it was peeing it down so were doing a lot of sitting trot and one hand excercises using our legs.

Sunday she worked us though! My legs were aching a bit Hardly any walking after warming up, lots of cantering and we went out onto the trail for some cantering too.

I don't feel rushed and she keeps asking if I am ''ok up there'' I say I feel better up here than I do on the ground

The best bit was that my lift was late so I stayed to help groom, rug and turn out my girl and watch her rolling

Booked in for another hour on sunday wonder what she will have us doing next time

I do have some pics but left my camera at friends so will upload them soon.

I have also now decided that once I have saved up a bit I am going to college to do BHS stage 1 and 2 Equine studies and hopefully move onto instructing depending on places at the centre I use as they do let you do that there. Bang goes the idea of vet nursing, this feels right for me, get paid for something I love and am going to enjoy, I don't even mind the minging bits was quite happy to do a bit of mucking out when I was there

Re: Lesson Progression

I will be going to the Barony College, and hopefully continue at Lochhill equestrian centre for my placement parts

Won't be until the 2012/13 course at least, depending on how much it is, what funding I get and wether I can drive or not! Lol there is a free bus to college but there are rubbish buses to the stables.

I am going to talk to my instructor at the stables about it on sunday as this is what she is doing
