Re: Buying a horse :)

you can buy the basics like grooming kit etc years in advance but saddles bridles etc better to wait till you have your new addition for fitting purposes.

You can pop the money aside though and start looking at the cost of things you'll need.

Good luck with your new addition

Re: Buying a horse :)

I have to be perfectly honest and say that I fell in love with a horse in a field a mile away from my house..... two days later I had bought him ! ! ! ! My very first horse.... I didnt even have a head collar ! ! ! Good old Ebay came to the rescue........ Bought a new cheapy bridle for £30 and a second hand saddle for £100...... Eventually one year on when I decided he was the horse for me I splashed out on a nice new Stubben Bridle and New Saddle which is so comfy.......
Go on Ebay and just look at the prices of things and make a list of what you may need..... you can buy one or two bargains if you see them but dont buy any rugs or anything where size is important..... Good luck...... You have an exciting time ahead of you.... Pamx
