shula is on a distinguished road
riding again

Last night I had my first horse ride for 4 years. I had done no riding since I retired my horse and couldn't afford another one. She was sadly PTS last year and I decided I couldn't stand not being with horses any more. So off I went to the local school and booked a lesson. Since they didn't know me I had the school plod, 16hh of horse that thought it should be in a static display but it was great walk, trot, canter and over a small pole. Then a quick trip round the woods all for £16. I have been promised a go faster horse next week. A few aches and pain this morning but the best bit I came home again smelling of horses - bliss !

That horsey smell is great isn't it. Well done to you going back to riding again. I never did.
