My friend has two horses and a pony, and she has been struggling with riding both the horses (both very fit and in full work) so I have been helping her with one, Basil (who is in turn helping me get over the death of my dog).

My friend told me about a dressage competition on saturday...and we entered! Bearing in mind I rode basil for the first time last saturday, and cantered him for the first time last night!!! Luckily, he is as good as gold, and I have already ridden Prelim 10 on my old horse!!!

I'll let you know how we get on.

In case you were wondering, Basil is an 18yr old Bright bay sports type (bought from gypsies as a yearling) He is a real sweetie and really tries for you.
