Me, my daughter and her daddy had a great day out today and we popped into the stables to talk etc

Well my daughter can start anytime i am so so so excited for her and she is so excited she has only just gone to sleep

We thought it be 5 yrs old that they start them, but no they take them any age really! My daughter was 4 yesterday.

We met some of the small ponies and patted lots of them! The lady said to pop my daughter on one and gosh, did she love it!! The pony called 'Popsy' was tied up ready for her grooming and couldn't care less. My daughter really loved it already and bent down to snuggle into Popsy's mane!! Bless her!!

We had a good chat and its only 20 mins each lesson for a child of 4, which is plenty time really! They go into the sand school or take a stroll down the lane.

When she is older they will teach her all she needs to know about horses in all aspects etc

Oh and i might be booking myself in as well but not yet. I have ridden for a long time but i stopped after a lost my loan horse. So eventually i will going there and brushing up on it all and hacking out.

Oooh can't wait for her first lesson!! Which won't be until July sometime, i am taking her to be around them a few more times before she has and ''official'' lesson.

aww im excited for her! i remember riding when I was little, been doing it since i was 2!! Spent most of my childhood at the stables and pottering around with my friends with the ponies.

I started young to, but not 2 LOL! I am very excited for her! All i have had for god knows how long is ''mummy can i ride yet'' so now she can!!

I will be helping out down there just to be around them again. Once my girl has been going a while, i will be able to wander away, while she is on the pony so i will probably help out grooming and getting the ponies ready etc

Its not a 'cheap' hobby but i wouldn't have it any other way! I have adored horses/ponies since before i could walk and so has my daughter!!
