Still Blooming waiting!

Heya

Right, my OHs aunty brought a mare in foal late last october (after seeing my mare foal in may and deciding it was now the right time to breed her own )

The vet came out and did blood tests to confirm she was in foal (id personally of had her scanned!) Anywho, in the first week in november vets gave the diagnosis "4 Weeks until foal will be born".....

Well, Its february...annnndddd were still waiting!

Shes just getting the the moody 'dont touch me' stage so i dont think itll be too long from here. Shes not bagging/waxing up at all though. Every afternoon her and her fat belly lie flat out and have a snooze Shes been 'dropped' since...id say mid december time?! and is walking around like shes got a barrel attatched to both sides - the vet says shes fine and must of got it wrong in november!

Im getting bored of waiting now =[ I want her to hurry up and pop!

The way you describe.. she has possibly had foals before.. and what breed is this mare.. as it is very early for her to foal.. :/

Re: Still Blooming waiting!

Shes a cob

Old owners say shes never had a foal before but wont tell us when she was covered

If she were mine, id of waited and had her covered so shed foal in the much warmer weather but OHs aunty brought her already in foal.

Im not joking shes GINORMOUS.
