Re: Starting out....training my little dog

We are starting with Terence who isn't a Retriever at all, but has shown a love for bringing his ball back to us from teeny tiny so we have bought a dummy (from HiLost) and he will (hopefully) do his first retrieve soon. He is already very keen on getting to his dummy. In fact, I found him perching on the edge of the sofa trying to climb on top of the book case to get to his dummy where I have "hidden" it (obviously not very well). But I won't do anything until I have been to SL's on Friday. Need some last minute tips

Treat 'em mean and keep 'em keen, well, not quite that, but I'll show you on Friday, and it's all about (as I keep banging on) adding value to the retrieve.

Oooh, just remembered, no photographs of the black eye please (for those wondering, my biggest, dearest Indie Bear has given me a right shiner).
