My son going away??

My son is going france tonight with school until sunday.
He is 14 but i will still worry because any problems carnt just go pick him up.
He says chill mum dont worry thinks im being to protective like normal.
What do you think?

well i haven't got kids but i think i'd be the same as you, kids don't think of the downsides just that it's gonna be fun and a big adventure. He'll be fine but that won't stop you worrying about him

Is it his first time away from home? What part of France is he going to? He will be fine! If he has his mobile you will be able to chat to him every day!

We mams have to let them do stuff however much we worry.
Mine is 15 and going to Borneo in 2 weeks for 3 weeks. I am worried, but he really wants to do it and it's a once in a life time thing for him. It's through Young Carers at Sunderland Carers Centre. There were only 5 picked. It's all done with the Army.

I know how you feel my son went to Switzerland on sunday on his own (to stay with relatives for a week) 2 flights there and 2 flights back. I was panicking all day - when I phoned him in the afternoon when he landed in London he said he couldn't talk to me as he was 2 busy playing on the PS3 in the airport.... He got there fine, he phoned me @ 7pm to say he was ok.. I rang him yesterday (normally I phone him @ least once a day) He said it was great and he didn't want to come home....

I feel ooooo so missed....

He is a good lad and we have been abroard loads of times but i think its the thought of him in a another country with none of us around

It dont matter how old they get, i find the older they are the more i worry about them us mums just cant help ourselves

He stayed away from home but not in another country.
He is taking his mobile with him but not in the day because they are going theme parks and water parks ect so can only ring him at night

I think because he is my first one to do this kind of thing im also worse(he is the oldest)

I know exactly how you feel, my son used to take regular trips to france with my mum and dad and although they were relations it didnt stop me from worrying.
All I can say is thank god for mobile phones!

You know how much we worry it is horrible to be away from your kids because you feel like you carnt protect them.

Must say he as done very well your son you must be very pround of him
