Eeeek banana spiders??

I went to Lidl this morning as i had a new litter of bunnys and needed to get the mum some bananas. I went to peel 1 for my son and i noticed cob web attached to the banana and a dark middle!! I freaked!!!!
My mum was here so we put the banana in a pan and poured boiling water from the kettle over the banana (after id taken pics), mum then scraped the cob web open and out floated lots of tiny spiders!!!!!

Ive rung Lidl's and they have given me a reference number and address to send pics of the web and also send some of the dead spider in some celotape.

Does anyone know what will happen now? Are banana spiders dangerous? Mum says i should ring the newspaper but im unsure what to do?

Im kinda freaked out as on the way home from Lidl i ate a banana lol i know im panicking but what if there was a spider in that banana? lol

heres some of the pics, the black was after id boiled it and you can also see the spiders at the bottom of the water in back ground.

Re: Eeeek banana spiders??

i`ve heard that they`re the most venomous spiders around, but in all honesty i`m not sure whether that`s true or not i just remember seeing an article on spiders being found in a box of bananas years ago
