Just been catching up on the news
Three-year-old girl lay dead in bedroom for two days - Telegraph
How can anyone do this? And where on earth were Social Services?

my friend whos boyfriend told me a similar story, 3 kids rope marks on wrists where they had been tied to bed while mother went out. kids had NO clothes at all, not any food in the house, no carpets, curtains or furniture, just a matress with no sheets or duvet's kids malnurished. covered in bed sores urine scolds and swarming in headlice. house full of human sh** all over the floor. babie's nappy not changed for at least a week. freind also knew the peadiatric nurse who was so upset and shocked at what these poor kids have been through.some times social services give them selves a bad name, where are they when these kids need help. some people should never be allowed to have kids, it makes me so angry, no child should ever suffer, edeucation, and health services should all be working together!!!

This bit actually makes me feel quite sick, why didn't anyone report it, they ought to be held partially responsible too - how can anyone ignore something like that

When babies are born there is a whole team monitoring the baby, midwife, health visitor, and when I was a kid we had a school nurse (nitty Nora), why isn't regular monitoring ongoing as it used to be. Why don't Social Services act quickly.
In this case why didn't family members take over responsibility for the youngster if she was one of mine I'd be in there like a shot. The whole thing is sickening. Good night god bless little one. Sue

Oh god, poor little baby
They should do the same to the bloody parents!!!!There's a family across the street from us whose kids are filthy, have nits crawling all over their hair, they are beaten and sworn at by the father in the street  they run the streets...naked sometimes the 2 yr old has nearly been killed running across the main road. The house is so discusting, no carpets, windows broken & taped together, no curtains, the list goes on. It's a private rented place. Despite numerous complaints and the Police being called......they still live like it!!!
