Re: Weight Watchers

I've not, i like the idea of it, but at the same time don't - it would give me motivation to stick to my diet, but i don't want to pay someone for me to lose weight on my own!

Re: Weight Watchers

I know what you mean...I on the other hand feel that I need an incentive..obviously losing weight is the main one, but once iv paid for the site it will make me go back to it!

I just dont seem to be able to do it alone.

Re: Weight Watchers

Nooooooooo don't congratulate me i've put it back on and more. It wouldn't work for me cause there is no one there every week to weigh me it's just me that knows what i've done that week and i need the discipline.

that`s what we thought when we joined the gym and set it up for 12months of direct debits.....we haven`t been for 3 months now even though we`re still paying it although we`re starting back on tuesday

i wouldn`t pay anyone to help me lose weight, maybe get a fitness dvd to use at home or join the gym. ask your doc to refer you to a dietician who can help you with a meal planner or there`s even weight drop in clinics on the nhs who are basically like weight watchers but free and you go in individually so no group meetings

i hate weight watchers, i tried to join a few years ago before i realised it was stupid but they told me i couldn`t join. glad they did as i`d have wasted money

Re: Weight Watchers

To be honest diets only work for as long as you are on them for.

If you managed to make your own life change it would mean that you would become slimmer and you would stay slimmer, I have lost 1.5 stones after I realised it was up to me and although slimming world works I realised that most of the ex slimming world members were bigger than they were to begin with.

The answer is inside you hun x good luck

i couldn`t agree more, you`re much better to do it on your own once you have decided you will stick to it and not slack (not that the odd take away is a bad thing) once you leave weight watchers it all piles back on.

my mom was a member and lost 2 stone then left and put on 3. she now goes to the gym 5 days a week and has gone from a size 16 to a 10 even though she eats like a pig and has takeaways every weekend. it`s all down to willpower
