Bye..

No i'm not jumping ship just off to Cornwall for a week.
I was wondering what you all do about your animals when you go away. Or maybe you don't go away.
I'm very lucky as my parents live two minutes away. they are having the dog the rats and the rabbit (who has to live in the shed as Dad doesn't believe in house rabbits-meany!!)
They will be over twice a day to let chickens out and put them away again, and do all the other animals. I don't think we would be able to go if it wasn't for them.
So was just wondering how everyone else copes?

All together now... We're all going on a summer holiday... la la la....!!!

Re: Bye..

I rarely go on holiday, work reasons, but when we do, either my family looks after them, or if the whole family is away, a friend of ours comes and looks in on them.

My animals have been in kennels enough before we adopted them (rescues), so I don't believe I will put them in kennels again.

Yeh I'm the same about my dog, he is a rescue and didn't cope well in kennels, so I couldn't do that to him. He would think his world had come to an end! he gate stressed over silly things as it is (if he was human I think he'd be in ahome for the bewildered!)

My boy is the exact same, it would be a nightmare for him, and I dread to think what he'd be like when we got back!

Re: Bye..

Hi weve been away once,in 14 years! had a friend come to stay for animals, but put 1 dog in kennels as to naughty for her!came back early as holiday crap, and couldnt wait to pick her up! wouldnt go away now though as usually have kittens or puppys due,and even though have trustworthy friends, wouldnt want them to have that responsibility

Re: Bye..

we are off to Budapest in 5 weeks....I am sooo excited....Sandy is going to a friends house and he will spoil her rotton she prob wont wanna come home.....Maya is going to the lady we got her off for a week.....that doesn't thrill me but the holiday was booked before we got her and she agreed if we took her she would have her back for a week. But she will be well looked theres no worries about that.

I'm just so sad to leave em both and will be just as exited to come home off our hols as we were to go lol.

off in the caravan for a week a few weeks later and they will def be coming with us then to make up for it
