LMAO how the hell did that happen?

P@H is like any other big chain store; Money grabbing.

Re: Why are people against Pets at home

I work for P@H and have done for over 6 years

It does seem to be that people are quick to slate Pets at home for bad service but never praise them when they do good.

As for the item that appeared on the receipt that you didn't buy, It may have been a glitch with the till, I have had this happen to me before when serving a customer, I scanned one item and another appeared on the screen.
(Not money grabbing just a technical error)

Plecos can live with goldfish.

Abs good luck with your steps 2 training

Re: Why are people against Pets at home

I had never heard of P@H until I saw contestants from The Apprentice pitching their product ideas to a couple of P@H reps.... ( remember the Lovers dog lead?)

I had always used pet websites for things for my cat but I actually went to one for the first time yesterday in Beckton. I found that the price was deer and even Tesco sold the same items cheaper and the range of cat beds and litter trays was limited.

I wasnt impressed and I pretty sure I wont be going there again.

Pets at Home....Your fired!

Live animals should not be sold in shops.

Re: Why are people against Pets at home

Main reason its too expensive, especially for a large chain! They also have really sh*tty cat toys in there!!! lol

My store seems to work differently from ones I am hearing about, that is why I posted this.
The staff in the Exmouth branch try to be as helpful as possible and we take different qualifications on areas in store to build up our knowledge.
The animals get toys to play with. They get hay in the mornings then nuggets at 11 and veg in the afternoon. I don't think the cages are over crowded.
It would be good if I could get feed back for the Exmouth branch to see how the public view it.
I love animals and would hate to think people thought we were mistreating them in some way.
Animals deserve loving homes and offer so much.
Yours sounds like an excellent branch then but the ones near us which are the Oldham and Ashton ones then I don't agree with the way they keep their small furries. I wondered if they are just in these horrible tanks through the day though and if they put them in the back at night? If not then I feel really sorry for them. We got a Syrian last Sunday and she was in with 5 other hamsters in a 1ft tank with a light on and one little house between them. When we got her home she did nothing but sleep all the time she was so tired.

If I had left the store though what would have happened if I didn't notice until I got home, would they have believed me that I didn't actually buy a bed? Maybe the assistant should have been actually watching when he keyed things in if things like this happen because it's certainly not fair on the customer. Didn't even get an apology either.

I don't know but I'm glad I noticed before I left the store. I checked my receipt right away because I was sure I hadn't spent £60 worth of hamster things as I only bought a hamster, some treats, a couple of the silent spinners which are £7.09 each and a grooming kit which was £6.09 and three of those small hide dog bones so I was a bit surprised to say the least. When I told the lad he got the grooming kit out and suggested it could be that. I doubt I would pay nearly £20 for 3 small hamster brushes.

Doesn't even know the price of his own stock

Lucky you noticed as doubt you would have got a refund if you noticed later on! Who's to say whether you did or didn't buy a bed!
