Re: Winter Food! I love this time of year,

My husbands chunky beef stew and baby dumplings, it is stunning and IF there is any left over it taste even nicer the day after. I used to love my nans food when she was alive, what those elderly people can make out of odds and sods from the cupboards is nobodys business, very clever they are. xxxxxx

Re: Winter Food! I love this time of year,

Goulash

I used to make stew and while me and the kids loved it, hubby wasn't keen. About a year ago he had a business trip to Hungary and tried goulash out there and came back raving about it so now I do goulash instead.

It's just as easy as stew but the paprika makes it so much more warming to eat. I do crusty bread with it but I personally prefer chunks of cheese in mine.
