![]() i had a dodgy perm when i was17, the hairdresser usedthe wrong perm solution, wound my hair too tight as well. all my hair fell out and broke off, i was mortified and cried for days. ![]() Another hairdresser cut my hair in to a very squiffy bob, rounded one sided, sharp diagonal the other, i phoned my old hairdresser up who lived 10 miles away and she ccame round to sort it out, she couldn't believe how bad it was. ![]()

Re: Hairdressers from hell
Im lucky, i cut my own hair
so i only have myself to blame haha, But also, i work with hairdressers so i know they wouldnt mess up my hair.... Unless of course id p****d them off at some point that day lol Sorry to hear about your hair Gemma, Hope you get it sorted, I think you should ring them and ask if someone can put it right, you paid for a good cut and didnt get one, so go get it finished off to perfection ![]()

Re: Hairdressers from hell
Ok open question and answer time im a hairdresser of 19 years expeience ( i know i dont look old enough lol) , Most people have trouble with hairdressers because they are very vague about what they want or say do what you like then moan after LOL ,
Best way to find a new hairdresser is to go by recommendation even if you see someone in the street ask where they get it done , Always ask for a consultation most good salons will do these free as its a potential new client =££ . Ask if there is a price structure most salons will have younger staff who will in most cases be trained but need more experience so will charge less , they will then have somone mid price range and then salon owners who will charge the most ( not always the best stylists though, i can run rings round both my boss,s and they know it ) Tell the receptionist if you have long hair or short hair if its a restyle or colour advise you need and ask them to book you in with somone who is stongest at what you need , never feel obliged to have your hair done just because you have spoken to someone if your not happy with your consultation dont book to get it done or agree to have it done right then say you will think about it and take a card , Pictures often help clients get accross what they want even if your hair is different to the models it gives the stylist a better idea of what you mean if you cant discribe properly what your looking for , Its better to ask questions untill you are sure than just sit there saying nothing , As a hairdresser there is nothing worse than doing soomeones hair as they have asked only to have them phone the next day to complane when any alterations could have been sorted at the time of the appontment .

Re: Hairdressers from hell
We moved to Hastings a year ago an i went out to find hairdressers.I actualy stopped people in street who had nice hair and asked were to go.Any ways i was recomended one and went of to book appointment. At the time my hair was blue/black but i was only looking to get a cut. After a long discusion the hair dresser had convinced me to change colour and said he had fantastic new bleach.I booked and went home all happy telling every one i was going blonde.I went and had hair done and it was a long 5 hours and i was just about sleeping when he said he had finshed.I did look in mirror and it looked good.I paid him £170 and went home.Next morning i got up excited to look properly at my new blond locks.AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH was my reaction i had GINGER hair.I sent hubby to boots to buy a dye and dyed it back to black.Iv never spent so much money on my hair and never will again.
