Re: Taxidermy!
the first time i went to shetland i wanted to see puffins, but we missed the breeding season, when i got home and a week or so later i saw one, stuffed in norwich castle museum, and couldn't believe how small they are!

Re: Taxidermy!
In one of the little antique shops in my town they have a glass case with a little dog in wearing a red collar,it was 160 years old
i found it fascinating but a bit weird, got me thinking about who may have had it etc.

Re: Taxidermy!
I think as you said Kay, it has it's place in museums ect. I personally would'nt want any of my cats stuffed and sat around my house. There was a friend of a friend, who had theres stuffed and laid it on a chair for all to see when they visited

Re: Taxidermy!
It wouldn't do for me, they don't have the soft natural look, I haven't seen one where they have captured the real beauty of the animal. I much prefer a painting or a photograph.
