Question Taxidermy!

My cousin has stuffed game birds in her house( Her husbands)
when i was walkin past an eclectic shop, there was a stuffed fox with a pheasant in its mouth.
Personally, i wouldnt want a stuffed dead animal in my home.
Although i do think that taxidermy does have a place in natural history museums

What do you think??

Re: Taxidermy!

I much as I always love my pets I could never have one of them stuffed!

I do find it a bit creapy, although (not that I own any) but I think the butterlies in frames look nice

p.s. agreed they are for musems - overwise we could never see a Dodo

I think as you said Kay, it has it's place in museums ect. I personally would'nt want any of my cats stuffed and sat around my house. There was a friend of a friend, who had theres stuffed and laid it on a chair for all to see when they visited

Re: Taxidermy!

It wouldn't do for me, they don't have the soft natural look, I haven't seen one where they have captured the real beauty of the animal. I much prefer a painting or a photograph.
