Re: Computer Monitors?.........

HI, Do any of you use a large tv screen as your computer monitor? I have a 32" LCD hd ready tv in my bedroom and my pc flat screen monitor, just thinking of putting my pc through my tv and sell my monitor! What would you do? Or do you do?

Re: Computer Monitors?.........

I have a fairly big tft monitor for my pc as well as a fairly big tv upstairs and down so i tend to keep it all seperate, though it helps having a dad who works in IT who can get things quite cheap. It depends on whether you share your tv in your bedroom, if so id keep seperate if not, as long as you arent gonna miss your favourite programmes then you should be fine with just the one. Im more of a tv watcher whilst surfing rather than one or the other

Well i say go for it then Its all what suits you best, why not trial it for a few weeks by storing your monitor at least if you miss your tv then you can dust it off and plug it back in

Re: Computer Monitors?.........

I do occasionally... but I generally find that the Graphics card doesn't have a high enough resolutiion to fully utilise the size of the screen.. e.g. my computer displays the same "size" picture on my 19" widescreen monitor, as it does on my 37" TV, because thats the highest resolution the card will process. Obviously it looks bigger, but you don't actually see anymore.

That said... everything looks really cool on a big screen Go for it!!!
