Well i have just been in my local pets at home and nearly ended up coming out with a guinea pig but complained about it and then went back later and checked they had done something with it ,it had been removed from cage. This poor animal had gunked up eyes couldnt eat properly and was been picked on by the other guinea pigs they were all supposed to be males in this cage but 2 were mating with rest of them . On going back in and looking round again noticed that majority of the animals had no or very little food. They had brought 2 rabbits out while i was gone put them in a cage with no food or water . Have always shopped at pets are home but will think twice about it in future.Sorry for rant just really peed me off to see animals been treated like this.
Their animals are so unhealthy.. they used to have birds in the one in Chester and they looked quite old and very unhealthy.. they only have rabbits and guinie pigs now... they're probably in the same state

Re: Pets at home

Ive had numerous amounts of problems with PAH.... From sawdust with bugs in it, i have no idea what the bugs were but they crawled all up my bedroom wall :YACK: to buying a female companion for my female guinea pig....and it turned out to be male. Some of the staff are rude, ignorant, and very childish. The only thing i buy from PAH now is the toys as unfortunatly for me i like them lol. Although everytime i go in i end up walking out in a huff and promising never to come back again.... I do go back because its the biggest pet store we have around this area I wish there were more, i think PAH need some big competition to give them a big kick up the A*se

That sounds about right!

Pets At Home is one of the best pet shops that have live animals around here, that says a lot for all the others!
