About the staff, ime sure really, they are just young girls playing with puppies basically, a dream job at that age, they dont care about the ones in the cages until they are sold and then they sit grooming them ready for them to go.
I hate the managers they are old enough to know better, and very rude to us, as you can imagine, the protesters arnt allowed in so went round the corner swapped our tops and drove into the car park walked in and we got away with it. I didnt want to go in i knew it would break my heart but i thought ime knocking the place , assuming they arnt kept in good conditions and thought if ime saying this i ought to go in and know its true what ime saying. Its awfull.

I tried to do some digging to try and contact the celebs, well not them but agents or whatever to see whether it as just a sales tactic, i really dont think they have those dogs or from there and if thats right its very naughty.

We had a member of the leeds council up the last time we demonstrated at the leeds store, basically he made all the right noises when we told him the horror stories, makes no difference a large store like that brings in too much revenue for the council, we has a freelance reporter one of the times, he did a report and was genuinely upset and against it, but he said the local papers in leeds who are the ones that would get to the more local people wouldnt let him print it because the store spends a lot of money advertising with them, so you understand what we are up against.

It's on Sky News all the time or if you want to see it straight away, go to Sky News, press the red button & you can go straight to the story "Cruelty".

Re: Yes!! Channel five highlight the plight of puppy farms

Hi all,

If you or any of your friends are thinking of buying a puppy, have a read of my blog first to ensure you don't get one from a puppy farm. I see far too many in my clinics already and they are always poor specimens.

Great idea, I'm in Essex just on the outskirts of London and they all seem to be far away There was a big one here some years ago and they took her to court etc but gave her licence back to her afterwards ..... it seems they are above the law sadly.

Re: Yes!! Channel five highlight the plight of puppy farms

I didn't see the news story, but this is an excellent piece by Debbie Connolly regarding why people buy from these places. I used to think it was mainly ignorance, but I now agree with her that the majority don't want to be bothered by waiting for a litter from a good breeder, don't want to be questioned as to their suitability or want to buy a puppy much like they'd buy a loaf of bread - while some may not realise where they come from, I'm sure more still turn a blind eye to it or don't want to believe it because it's easier not to.

Ties in quite nicely with some other recent threads on how much research is really needed and how much people take notice of that research or just go and do their own thing anyway.
