Pigeons :(

We live near the town centre so there are lots of pigeons about and 2 have decided to try n nest on our roof n are making lots of noise. When i hear them i go out n spray them with the hose pipe. Has anyone got any ideas to get rid of them short of killing the sods? i believe ya can kill them cos they are classed a vermin but i would cry cos im a wimp

Didn't that Hugh Fernly Whittinghall make a pie from pidgeons he shot??
Common sense would say dont feedthem , but i doubt if youre doing that. good luck!
