So here I was.. sat here playing Mahjong Connect on this yer very forum, when what do my eyes behold?

A large dog trotting past the garage and up into the garden!
My husband had to go rescue him - we're not dog people so we don't have any leads or collars about - he had to carry him into the pub over the road to see whether he belonged to anyone over there. (He didn't).
Now he's taking the little guy to the police station - we have no way of keeping the dog here overnight - we're cat breeders and have cats in most rooms!

He's a greyhound or whippet - tan and white - no collar, lead or chip.
Seems friendly enough, wasn't interested in the water I put down for him - pretty fat (for a greyhound/whippet).

Well that's our excitement for the night!

Me too. Some poor owner must be going out of their minds with worry.

lets just hope the owners are respoonsible people and was not out in the fields to hunt!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, we have fields all around us but this was late at night - and he didn't have a collar on so wasn't being walked.

The only car park round here for miles around is the pub over the road and we asked in there.
Think I'll give the police station a call later and find out how he's getting on.
