Husband is just going up the lane to ask the neighbours if they know anything about the dog.

I did notice a firm lump on the side of his neck and wondered if he had been dumped - but that's just me being pessimistic.

Our neighbours don't recognise the description of the dog at all, and they are 'proper dog walkers' so know a lot of the local dogs.
