Re: Been a veggie for nearly a month now :)

I can't stop laughing at the Quorn website.

Every product they make has the same name or resembles a full on flesh product. Why make something made from non-meat products for non-meat eaters look exaclty like and marketed similar to meat?

Can any ex-meat eaters that now eat Quorn confirm if they also try and make it taste just like the meat equivalent too?

Quorn is flavourless, it takes the taste of other foods mixed with it.

Their products look like meat and they use the same names to make the transition easier.

its something that alot of people always comment on, When i go to vegan fayres they NEVER make things that resemble meat, but Simon has fake meat everything, right down tot the turkey, i know it might sound stupid but its just a way of getting a meat fix but not eating dead animal.

Plus you cant rule out a food just because it looks like something lol..... rice pudding looks a bit like sick... but i like it

Re: Been a veggie for nearly a month now :)

yeah its convienince too, plus eating something like that is considered normall and you dont have to be considered a greeny if you dont eat meat, If you didnt ask my OH (and if i didnt go on about it) you wouldnt know he was vegan, he gave up animal rights activism. He'll say hes having pie and chips for dinner and you wouldnt know

Okey dokey, if that is the case, then would you eat the following:

Warning: do not click on this if you are scared of the bogeyman or things that go bump in the night. If you have ever seen a Damien Hirst exhibition or been to Madame Tussaud's and looked at the celebrities then these are pretty tame.

So what do you think? Look tasty do they?

Believe it or not these are all made from bread.

Im not sure many meat eaters would be comfortable eating those tbh.

Saw those years ago, very talented.
