I got up this morning a 5am took the rubbish out and came in with the niggling sensation something wasnt quite right, I got the lil ones up fed them and ushered them out the door for school no sooner had they departed the door bell rang thinking someone had forgotten something I tore the door open and found myself confronted with a rather cute policeman blushing I tried to cover up my shabby dressing gown and disheveled hairdo as he presented me with forms to sign confused was me so he suggested he come in and we sit down my heart hit my mouth the kids I squeeked he looked confused no he said consulting his pocket book a car I sat where I was that was it the car was not in its usual spot some little oik had taken it in the night.......... the car has been recovered with minimal damage it ran out of petrol during the persuit the fuel guage hasnt worked for years lol but it seems I cant have it back until the case has been heard as its evidence because the police have it its not considered stolen so the insurance company have closed a theft file in the meantime what am I supposed to drive????? the cars covered fully comp but I have to pay to hire one then claim against the police file on these urchins seems silly to me and an excuse to copout of paying up!!

Insurance companies are a nightmare, as for comprehensive cover i really dont think it means a lot anymore its just a way of getting the driver to pay them more of a premium, and the moment you try to claim they quote you with clause number 3 billion and something, they just worm their way out of everything, Meanwhile the NED that stole your car gets a slap on the back of his hand and then let out to steal someone elses car tonight. the law is an ASS.as for all the lazy little scroats that leave school and wont work or go on to further education i would put them in the army and teach them how to behave, the thought of that would soon make them go look for a job once they left school. ......rant over...lol

my sister has lent me her old car tax runs out the end of this month the radiator and heater matrix is shot but Ive been up all night watching it to make sure it dont get nicked!!!! I feel violated not to mention exhausted

Awww Love im sorry to hear about all this. Its awful with no car. We went without for a year, really dont know how we managed.We got a new one (new to us) in april and so far we have spent £500 on the damned thing. xx

Actually if you can manage thats great. I was going to suggest you get a £200 quid car to get you by for a few weeks. They do exist!!! I've done it before now but the downside is you can't claim back expenses i don't think!
