Whats the thing you love most about xmas and if you could have or change anything of your choice what would it be.

I love seeing the kids faces on Christmas morning, its the best thing ever I will have to give the other bit some thought

although I would like people not to get so mad at Christmas, they just seem to lose the plot when they go shopping, it can be like a war

Christmas has lost it's magic this year, it will just be the 2 of us this year and Amber, who we will be spoil completely. I lost Dad some years ago, and Mom this September, so Christmas this year I could do with out.

The best thing about Xmas for me is the long period of time (usually about 10 days) that me, hubby and kids (10 and 8) get to spend together without the usual life getting in the way. We dont do anything much but what we do do is together

If i could change one thing about Xmas....er...it would probably be to have the great big extended family xmas' we used to have when i was a kid. My mum is one of 5 and my dad was one of 6. As time goes by the family gets smaller and those left are more spread out

I love all the lights & decorations etc, & xmas dinner used to be the kids faces but my kids are older now so it's not the same

Things I'd change
1) SNOW, would love a white Christmas

2) Some one else to do all the cooking! my parents can no longer cook meat/turkey etc for themselves or bake but like to be in their own home, so I've to do my own & theirs then walk a mile to get it to them (I dont drive).

Also the 2 days before xmas are manic in ours Ive always baked cakes etc before xmas, as my mum loves home made cakes, so it's 2 days of solid baking with my own & my mums then walk the mile again to get it there, sometimes takes 2 or 3 journeys to carry it to them too.

So by Christmas day Im usually wrecked! & sleep for an hour or so after dinner we get a few days clear then I have it to do the same again on the 29th/30th for New year!

i love having an excuse to drink lots in the day.

OOOOH I love Christmas. I love decorating my house - and I am sorry to say but the more chavvy the better. We have light up snowmen, trains and allsorts that go out side. And inside you can't move for glitter, tinsel and chintz.

I then love buying pressies, wrapping them all up and seeing the kids faces when they open them up. Even my older kids love their pressies from Mummy and Daddy lol.

I then like making my Christmas Cake and pickles.

I then like having all my family for the day.


I don't like my Mother In Law parking her butt on the sofa all day, giving her orders out and turning up empty handed!!
