I drove past Mr Magic`s at the top of Padiham last night & there open now for fireworks ,that`s all they sell and will probably be open now until end of the year. Our last dog we used to take to firework displays ,we used to get some real strange looks ,she used to curl up & go to sleep until the roast Chestnuts & Treacle toffee came out - Bless her,I hope Jack`s going to be alright with them.

Fingers Crossed.

Re: Fireworks..................

i love to see fireworks...but i'd have them banned today if i could...
my saracen hated them, he would fret like mad when they went off...and to be honest that was when i realised how much they can affect animals..he was the only dog i've ever had that reacted to them like he did.mad:

Re: Fireworks..................

One year I threatened the peeps in my corner shop that if I saw them selling to any kids I would 'shop' them and also complained about how early they were selling them, strange thing they left it till quite a bit later after that, and I still go in there and get on with them ok now

Re: Fireworks..................

In our village now it`s too bad ,as last year they used to sell fireworks in the local Spar shop to all and sundry, but now the shop has moved down the road and is part and parcel of the Petrol station,so I can`t see them selling fireworks there ?.

i think they should be banned full stop u hear each year of people getting hurt and killed by these, ther is always an animal who is a victim of yobs...or scared to death...

so may i ask....WATS THE POINT????

by all means, celebrait it, but wivout the fireworks...u can have a good ol get togetha wivout fireworks.

Re: Fireworks..................

It is nice to watch displays, but I think they should be just that............organised displays, one night per year. Another thing I dislike is kids coming knocking on the door for 'trick or treat' or 'penny for the guy'.

I know I sound like Victor Meldrew but I just dont even bother answering the door now cool:
