I'm sure this has been aired before, but has anyone found anything that stops dog pee messing up and killing grass on the lawn?
I've seen a few things advertised on various sites and wondered if anybody has tried them and did they work?
I read somewhere that putting tomato ketchup in the dog feed helps, but I'd be a bit wary of trying that one. I'd rather have a sick lawn than a sick dog.

I use these, very effective: Dog Rocks

I always found a quick bucket of water helped as it dilutes it down and its least likely to go brown. Some times a dogs diet can be a factor as also if its a bitch or dog. Some times the bitches can seem to make the grass browner for some reason. Hormones or some thing i dont know.

Thanks AJ. That is one of the things I've seen, but when I checked, the revues were very mixed. Suppose using them properly is the key.

I've tried using a pee post for sunny. But all he wanted to do was chew and play with it.

Yep, we don't see great results because we have new dogs here every week which obviously haven't been drinking the water with them in but our dogs don't kill the grass, so it does make a difference.

You can get away with using the same rocks for slightly longer than stated on the instructions too.

I've never seen my grass is messing up and killing on the lawn by dog's pee. May be because I nave a dog, not a bitch.

It's nothing to do with dogs and bitches, it's about where they pee, if your dog marks around the edges then you probably won't notice because most if it won't go on the grass. It's a myth that only bitches pee kills grass.

it is a myth indeed cos ours was from our dog.
