The Royle Navy came to my school today

Along with a Royal Marine.

They did a cool presentation, interaction and stuff in an assembly with people interested in a career in the armed forces.

There were 4 people. An AFOC officer, a RN Engineer, a RN Navigation Officer and a RMC.

The Royal Marine said he fought in N. Ireland and the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, but just stood there.
The AFOC Officer just stood there.
The RN Engineer said where he had been, but apart from that stood there.
The main talker was a 27 year old Royal Navy navigation officer. She said she was with the navy for 7 years, and currently gets paid £42,000 a year, and can go on a pension and leave when she's 36!

They talked about places, sports, friendships and that stuff. But the cool things like the RMC, drug busts, visiting the world.

I have to say, I want to join the armed forces even more now.

Good on ya mate go for it! My nephew has recently joined the ATC and loves it! He's always wanted to join the RAF since the age of 6 and he is now 12 and deadly serious about joining!

I also have a cousin who is a Royal Navy Commander! He is still in service cos it's in his blood! Has his own ship too!

If you decide its for you, dont let anyone else talk you out of it. It can be very rewarding!

I've thought about going to a naval college. If I join the services, it'll be either Marines, something in the navy or RAF police, flying jets would be cool too.

You get paid £770 a month as a trainee in the forces. Which is good thinking of the accomidation, food, supplies and goverment issued equipment you're given.
