Re: Any Suggestions Please

She might be allergic to her milk? A friend of mine has similar problems and found he boy was intolerant to something in the formula so she had to change over to some special one.

Re: Any Suggestions Please

as silly as this sounds.but i'm sure other mums will agree, does she bring baby's wind up regularly when feeding? try giving just a little milk then "burping" baby then more milk..i might add some babies like being put over the shoulder for this, some like being laid on their tummy on ums knee, and some are better if you sit them on your knee with one hand under the babies chin and rubbing its back.
god now i'm feeling all motherly

If this was my daughter i would not be happy tel you sis go see the gp or health visitor as she is not happy.
How is her weight gain if she is alergic to milk she wont be gaining as much wait.

Yep she could be trying it on my sisters daughter was always crying to be picked up....mine 3 got put down from day 1 so all babys are different.
I do feel for your sis as its hard work looking after a baby and one that crys loads must be hard work

the reason i'm thinking it might be wind, is because my grandson was like your sisters baby.another thing might be the teet size..lol bear with me on this lol. you can get different size holes in the teets or could..if this is still the case try getting a teet with a smaller hole.that way baby wont drink as fast.

Re: Any Suggestions Please

Sorry to read your sister is having such trouble with her baby - I do not have a baby either so cannot give "motherly" advice but from the little I do know (having helped with my baby brother when I was younger), if your sister is doing all the practical things possible (and some good ideas were suggested by Janice) then she SHOULD see her GP - and be insistent upon seeing the doctor. Some doctors will try not to listen and put it down to "anxious mum" syndrome but do not be fobbed off. Your sister needs some professional help.

Wishing your sister and her baby all the best.
