A difficult decision :(

Just where does dignity end?

We are seriously thinking about our eldest dogs future. He's sound in mind but not in body. It hurts so see him so frail and unable to do the things he used to do.

Due to a spinal problem he has more or less lost control of his toileting and is unsteady on his hind legs, he is drinking water constantly, which, to me indicates a possible kidney problem?

There is no chance of him improving although he sometimes "perks" up a bit, but he'll continue to deteriorate as the days pass by

Carol is gonna call our vet tomorrow, get his opinion but I think we all know we have to make that difficult decision! :'(

Sorry you have to make this decision but you know when the time comes that you are doing what is best and letting them go with some dignity is always the best way to go in my eyes.

Re: A difficult decision :(

It's always a hard decision, I had to make it last year with one of my old girls My vet said to me it was the only way to repay all the unconditional love they give us.

Will be thinking of you tomorrow
