Re: Another Child Killed by a Dog!!!
This is on Mirror website today....
Mum's tribute The inconsolable teenage mum of a toddler savaged to death by a Rottweiler paid tribute to her "lil sleeping angel" yesterday. In a moving statement made on her 18th birthday Becki Hirst said 13-month-old Archie-Lee was "my world", adding: "He'll always be in our hearts. Mummy's little man." She also paid tribute to her brave sister Kara, 16, who vainly battled to save Archie-Lee from the vicious brute's jaws. Becki said: "We're all so proud of her. She's a heroine and will be respected for what she did for the rest of her life." Advertisement Archie-Lee's grief-stricken father Damian Williamson, 20, wrote his own tribute on the Bebo social networking website. He declared: "Never gona 4get ya lil man, RIP 4evan always, miss ya so much." Archie-Lee was being looked after by Kara at her mother Sharon's home in Wakefield, West Yorks, on Friday afternoon. With them were Kara's younger sisters, aged six and seven. The seven-year-old was carrying Archie-Lee to the back door when the two-year-old dog, weighing from seven to 10st, tore the tot from her arms. Without a thought for her safety, desperate Kara kicked and punched the animal before calling 999 for help. Paramedics scaled a 7ft fence to rescue Archie-Lee. But hours later he died in Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield. Writing on her Bebo page yesterday, Becki said: "RIP my lil angel mummy knows your still here love u alway and foreva xxxxxx." She said in a statement later: "It's so hard for me. My boy was my world. "We shared so many precious memories in the short while we had together. He is loved by many. He will always be in our hearts, never to be forgotten. He's my sleeping angel. "All I want is to give my baby the best send-off that he deserves so my little Archie can rest in peace. "Rip my little angel. You're in our hearts forever, Mummy's little man." Yesterday Becki was being comforted by her family. She was joined by Damian even though the couple have split. Well-wishers handed bouquets in to the end of terrace house and hundreds of sympathetic messages were posted on the internet. A police cordon remained in place around the property as officers conducted house-to-house inquiries. The front curtains were drawn and no one was believed to be home. Inquiry chief Det Supt Steve Payne said: "The mother and father are together today. Everyone involved is back as a family unit at this distressing time. "They are inconsolable. Obviously, the mother's 18th birthday being today doesn't help. Nor does New Year. This was nobody's fault. It's a tragedy." Becki had dedicated a Bebo page to her son. Clearly besotted, she wrote: "I don't no what I'd do if I didn't have him. "Can't wait till he's walking and talking, it will be great. I hope his first word is mummy, it would make me so happy. "I love taking him to the park and watch him smile his little head off, bless him." Damian said on his web page before the tragedy that he would "die any day" for his son. He said he was happiest when "Archie keeps saying dad dad all the time". The female Rottweiler was bought by the family six months ago, reportedly following a string of burglaries. She was shot dead. Police said she had "interacted" with other young relatives. Rottweilers are not covered by the Dangerous Dogs Act. The seven-year-old who was carrying Archie-Lee has been interviewed on video. Almost exactly a year ago Ellie Lawrenson, five, was killed in her grandmother's home in Liverpool by a pit bull-type dog. Courageous Lauren Fearn, 12, of Leicester, was recovering from serious injuries yesterday after being mauled by a Rottweiler as she fought to stop it attacking her cousin Jessica, eight |

Re: Another Child Killed by a Dog!!!
The thing with puppies - they are alloved to go to a new homes much earlie. It should be some standart of training for them before leaving to a new homes, otherwise it all will lead to ban on all imaginable dogs. Another thing - was that rottie belong to that family? Its sounds ike far too young parents, quite a few small children and dog just didnt had necessary care and attentin.

Re: Another Child Killed by a Dog!!!
Heard the same story except abit different, i heard the 16 year old was upstairs and it was the 8 year old that had the poor baby on ther hip and did as you said, went to the backdoor and opened it to where the dog was standing.
