It looks to be a brilliant family day out. I don't think I have every been to Colchester Zoo, been to quite a few.

I think I will babynap my grandson one day over Bank Holiday and spend a day there, you watch it may end up being too far to visit in a day. We'll see, I fancy taking my grandson to a Zoo or a Marine centre now.

At Flamingo Land you can take dogs provided they are kept on a leash and poo is picked up. Can you take dogs to Colechester Zoo?

If you want a zoo thats a bit closer I can highly recommend Chester Zoo Sue (ooh that rhymes )

They've got a "bat cave" there, which you can walk through and have bats flying around you.. what a weird feeling

i absolutly love red river hogs they're so pretty although their pen & the lions cage looks very small.

I wonder if they feed the tigers RC or JWB!?!

they were taken with my Nikon D80 and 70-300 Nikon Zoom lens.. Can't wait to go back as I've got a longer zoom now, so should get some better results
