New Kitten Questions

Hi everyone!

Wow what a useful forum! I found this while doing some searches on the internet for tips on new kitten bahaviour etc and I thought you guys would be perfect to help me!

To fill you in, we have a new kitten who came home with us on Sunday. He is a little black and white fella who is 15 weeks old. He's had no trouble settling in and purrs constantly! He follows us around everywhere and just seems happy to be with us. We love him to bits!

I just wanted to check on a couple of things though. Firstly, I don't think he is sleeping in his bed. He has his own room which we put him in at night. In his room he has his scratching post, tray, bed, food, water etc and some toys. He meows at first when he is put in but once he can't hear us walking about he's fine. I'm trying to get him to sleep in his bed as the room has a wooden floor so might be a bit cold for him, we've put some carpet in for him but its not over the whole floor. Any tips?

Also, we've put a collar on him that seemed to bother him at first but he's better with now. When he scratches he does it around his neck, could he hurt himself?

Finally (promise!) we're getting confused with how much to feed him. He is on Hills dried food at the moment as that was what he was fed on before we got him. We feed him in the morning, then twice during the day and once at night. We don't want to over/under feed but whatever we put down he eats it all! Can anyone advise?

Thanks in advance!
