Dissapointing Responses

I have been watching a few threads unfold during the day today in the cat section and I have lost alot of faith in this forum over a short space of time.

When I first joined this forum it was mainly for advice on a situation I was in, since then I have tried to help others where I felt I had something useful to say.

I myslef have had a few heated discussions on here in the past and I realise for most people this situations are generally caused by sheer passion, however today there have been several ruthless and insulting comments flying around and it has really dissapointed me.

There is absolutly no need to make attacks personal in order to get your point across, the only people that should be using a forum such as this, is someone whos best interest lies with their pets, if you have a genuine concern for someone elses pet/actions/situation the best way to get them to take advice is to be polite and constructive. At the end of the day, most people on this forum joined to seek advice in the first place.

Sorry about my rant, I felt it would be best placed here than within the threads I am particually referring to for a couple of reasons, firstly I did not want to get another argument started and secondly this may also apply to posts in other sections that I have not read.

Happy posting folks... x

Re: Dissapointing Responses

I too have to agree that people should not make personal attacks.

Yes, say your opinion... but don't insult other peoples jobs or intelligence or things like that when it has nothing to do with it, it's very unnecessary.

I know exactly what you mean. I have read some threads in the past couple of days that have outright bullying going on. I have chosen not to post on these threads.
