Money Saving tips

Just thought of this. There is a credit crunch and it is hitting people hard.

How about a section where members can post any money saving tips or ideas or indeed deals.

Could be on anything, ie pet food, food deals, drink, holidays, days out, etc etc

That's a good idea, there will be tough times ahead!

I've turned into a hermit! Going out drinking is now a thing of the past for me.. but saves me about £50 a week lol
Oh and I shop at Morrisons now rather than Tesco!

We are going to Morrisons next shop, supposed to be loads cheaper! OH works near it too so she can go on the way home and it saves on petrol too!

I was having a chat with my best mate today and we both agreed that Morrisons has more to offer than Tescos - Moz do have a lot of buy 1 get 1 free offers which help if you need the items LOL
But my shopping bill has gone up by about £40 a month in Morrisons- then I nip into Asda for milk bread etc and spend more - even the dog food has gone up at the Warehouse!

good idea mrs dusty, i recommend everyone getting themselves some chickens, then you can collect the fresh eggs every morning and watch them piling up in the egg tray coz no one is b*****dy eating them

Give some eggs to your neighbours and friends

Make up a load of quiche and freeze them for later, make a fab egg custard....ummm yummy, and how about french toast for lunch - quick, cheap and easy (some people call it gypsy toast.

I don't like Morrisons I spend too much, buy one get one free, buy three for the price of two. I do even though I don't usually buy the product, can't resist a bargain I learned my lesson don't buy biscuits under offer either it works out more expensive. ie three packs dont last three weeks as you would assume. They last about three days

Watch out for Asda scams too. £3.48 each or 2 for £7.00
