You're not doing anything wrong... you're just putting them in your posts as attatchments. If you want the photo to show up larger and so that people don't have to click on it, use PhotoBucket.

Hey guys i have asked this a couple o times but no joy yet

I am trying to upload a profile photo. I have tried resizing it in photobucket but still doesnt show up beside my name even though it is there in my edit profile????

Anyone any ideas?

Ok I have just looked at your profile and see that you do have a "Profile" picture uploaded. The one beside your name when you post is called an "Avatar". So maybe you're getting confused with the 2?

If not, go into Edit Profile, Click Edit Avatar (which is under Settings & Options). You will see this text: Your Current Avatar Avatars are small graphics that are displayed under your username whenever you post.
Then underneath that you will see the text: "Do not use an avatar" have you got that checked? if you have then maybe that's why your avatar isn't showing up, if so just uncheck it.

Also, when you do browse for the picture or enter the URL to upload your photo, remember to click on Save Changes!

See if any of that works
