So if they're anonymous I guesse that would then rule out voting for mods?

Re: PetForums Update

One forum I was a super mod on did it this way - mods and smods could delete threads but they only went in to a bin - they had 5 admin who could do much more who could come along and check the bin and delete what they needed to and reinstate anything which didnt need to be deleted......
Mark have you any real life friends who could help out? Anyone who you trust with your life etc - they could have admin status and help out much better than any mod on here - lets face it we are all strangers - after whats happened its hard for admin to trust anyone on here now - its hard for us members to trust anyone on here too.....so maybe better if Mark could get a few family/friends who he trusts to help him out

As hard as it is Debbie, I know a few people here whom I have known for a few years who I haven't always seen eye to eye with on other forums whom I know for a fact would be 100% trustworthy as a Mod here. There are folk here more than capable of being the right Moderators for petforums whose names I would be more than happy to put forward to Mark
And I'm not being biased there either, honest!

Like I say I haven't always agreed with them, that said it doesn't mean they wouldn't make good Mods here

Yes - I was just trying to make things easier for Mark - impartial mods may be better than sorting out who to trust on here - Throwing suggestions about really - I aint got a clue what the answer is

I wouldnt want any of my friends or family to be involved in this forum. Ive had such a stressful and hard time running the forum and dealing with spiteful people that I wouldnt wish this on any of my close friends. The majority of people have been great but there are a few people who just try to make it hard for people running the site.

I think the idea about people filling in a short questionnaire sounds like the best idea and then I will have a read through them and choose the best. Also, as suggested I think it would be best to create seperate moderator usernames so that no-one knows who the moderators are, so that they can carry on using and enjoying the forum under their original username.

I'll let you all know when I get round to completing the questionnaire.

Mark
