Helpful Information
Here's some info to clear a lot of discussed topics up.
Rep Colours
When you get rep, it shows up in your User CP. It shows up as 3 different colours:
Green Rep: When someone thinks well of someone's post or just feels like giving out some rep. This raises the receivers reputation points.
Red Rep: When someone disapproves of someone else's post. This lowers the receivers reputation points.
Grey Rep/Purple Rep: When someone with no rep power gives green or red rep. This has no effect on the receivers reputation points.
If you have one or more red boxes under your Post Count and Join Date then you can only give greys. If you have a red rep in your User CP (Where you view your rep), it doesn't have any effect on what colour you give. If you have green or red rep bars, then you can give green or red rep.
Rep Powers
Rep Power depends on the amount of posts and the join date of a user. However, I do not know what the settings on this forum are, as the Admins have control of them.
However, one way of finding out your rep power is this:
Ask a user to help you. Find out their reputation points before you rep them. Say they have 100 Rep Points. Then rep them. If their total increases to 117, then you have a rep power of +17. If their rep increases to 102, you have a rep power of +2.
Your negative rep power is always half of your positive rep power. Eg. +24 = -12. +17 = -9
Rep Amounts and Bars
You can get up to 11 green bars, and also up to 11 red bars - it depends entirely on how much rep points you have. Here's the Reputation Levels and how much rep equals one box of rep on your profile:
-Negative Rep Points = Red Bars
-0 Rep Points = 1 Bar
-100 RPs = 2 Bars
-200 RPs = 3 Bars
-300 RPs = 4 Bars
-400 RPs = 5 Bars
-500 RPs = 6 Bars
-700 RPs = 7 Bars
-900 RPs = 8 Bars
-1100 RPs = 9 Bars
-1300 RPs = 10 Bars
-1500 RPs = 11 Bars
So the amount of bars you have depends entierly on the amount of rep you have.
I hope all this information has helped!
