1) If hosting on other websites, if they then remove the photos, they would appear as errors on our site and you wouldnt be able to view the photo. If hosted on our site, we will never remove the photo. I have noticed in the past on a few threads, people have hosted their photos on an external site and then because the external site has removed them, the thread then looks a bit messy and you cant view the original images, so it makes the thread abit useless.

2) There are some changes being made to PetForums soon, where when thumbails are clicked on they will be displayed in a more eyecatching way.

If anyone knows users who dont attach the photos as thumbnails please could you let them know in future, that would be great.

Cheers
Mark
I think this site is becoming more like a policed state:dont do this! dont do that! tell on your fello member if he or she uses photobucket

Re: Attaching Photos : Please Read

Hi Garry,

I wouldnt say a policed state. I dont want people to tell over users who use photobucket, I want you to tell THEM how to attach photos to the threads if they dont know how too. I only want people to use the attachment method so that the site will look better when it is upgraded soon. As I said the new functionality will make photo attachments more pleasing to the eye and more in keeping with the look and feel of the website. As for Videos, I dont mind wether you use youtube, photobucket or any other website as PetForums doesnt currently have the functionality to upload videos directly to the site.

Thanks
Mark

Re: Attaching Photos : Please Read

Hi,

I've been thinking about developing a video section, but im not sure wether it would be too costly in terms of website bandwidth and server costs.

Thanks
Mark
