What exactly is a sticky???

I know they are at the top of each forum, but why are they different from other posts? And who sticks them?! And why??!

they are either important topics or common questions that people ask. They are made sticky by the mod/admin team.

Moderators make them stickies because they are the most mportant/handy information, or info that has to be read.
