Signature Tags?

I have made my own banner it is 502x102 pixels in size but when I added it on here, it has shrunk to tiny weeny?? Why is that when other people's are large? Is it something I have done wrong?

have u saved the orig size on photobucket or something similar ... u can copy and paste the image tag and it should come that size u saved it as

No, I just uploaded straight on here but will try photobucket now

If you do a direct upload from your computer to the forum using the signature picture tool it will turn out smaller but if you copy an image off photobucket or another website (like what I did in my signature pic) you can make the size bigger.
