Crying all night!

Hi all we have just got a new puppy he has settled in to the family well but he crys in his crete all night, we dont keep going back to him we just leave him, we have put a old sock and one of my tshirts in with him with a clock on the top of his crete, the cat sleepsin the same room as him so he has ome company. it is only his second night but i dont want him to be to stressed.

any help or advise is gretly recieved

Hi there, if you post this in the dogs part it might get more views.Personally i don't use a crate but if yo do it's a case of just continuing with the routine you already have i would think, it's only his second night and everything is still very strange to him, in time he will get used to his routine and probably settle down. Everything is different..smells, sounds, people, he no longer has his other and siblings he's probably unsure and a little lonely thats all patience and lots of love will help.

My puppy cryed in her crate all night so we gave up crate training her and let her get used to been around us and her new home. Then when she was about 12 weeks (when she could go for a walk) we started the training again and we didnt hear a peep out of her all night.
