I cant answer that as I didnt see the report, but im sure as soon as a mod did see it, it would have been removed. Im sure it wasnt left on purpose. The best thing we can do about returning banned members is to help each other by reporting any suspicious members to myself and the mods. Usually when a banned member returns, they try to pretend they are someone else, but eventually they show their true colours. All we can do in this situation is to keep banning them until they get bored. Obviously though, dont befriend people you are arent sure about, especially if they are new members and trying to be very friendly with you. Cheers Mark |

Re: more privacy on the forums
It was nothing disturbing, the image that is. Just a regular picture of a little girl. But it was hosted on his porn/adult site.
Mark it was reported more than once and not just by me, and last time I checked months after it was still there. Though I can't find it now, so hopefully it has been removed. Also I made reference to it in a thread a while back when he was insulting to me in a post. I'm sure most will remember the horrible thread about he obese guy in the Sun newspaper? No one batted an eye lid though ![]()

Hi Aurelia, Ive check all our old reported posts, and cant see any complaints about the photo you mention. I remember the thread about the obese guy when you made a complaint about the thread, and I dealt with this personally to help resolve the problem in the best way I could. If you have any more problems which you think havent been dealt with sufficiently, you can pm me and I will of course look in to them. Thanks Mark |

Re: more privacy on the forums
Thing is there is nothing that can be done so people are going to come back, i just think you have to accept that is part of the forum and sad as it is be a bit more suspicious of new members, especially ones who are a bit "over friendly" straight off.
That doesnt mean you have to be rude or ignore them just dont go adding them to Facebook and handing out your home address just because "they love your dog, have one the same and happen to think you are fantastic" TBH i am a cynic so that would ring alarm bells with me anyway ![]() Instinct and gut feelings are your best defence, we all have them and they should be listened to at all times. None of this means this cant be an open friendly, welcoming, enjoyable, fun forum it just means we have all had a wake up call (MODS and Admin included) that we all need to be a bit more careful, looking out for ourselves and each other is the best defence ![]() It's tricky because in the real world anyone in a "position of trust" with children needs a CRB check, yet they could be on here discussing anything with anyone MODS are in a huge position of trust yet no formal checks are done on sites to check them (and you can now see how easy it would be for someone to get to that level on a site like this) My suggestions to Mark to ensure the members are safer is to ensure the people on here who hold a position of trust are thoroughly checked (not that i am suggesting for a minute that any of our current MODS are not to be trusted but i am talking about more a belts and braces going forward kind of thing ) and then ensure that all members know if they are made to feel uncomfortable at any time by a member (ie via MSN/PM etc) they can contact a trusted, vetted MOD who will act. This also means that people need to "Man Up" a bit too and stop running to the MODS over personal fueds and grudges so they have time to spot the important stuff in amongst the torrent of tit for tat tale telling they get sometimes. ![]() There was a situation on a different forum where a vulnerable person was almost exploited and it was only that persons trust in me and another member and the fact that we were honest and trustworthy that prevented it. That is how you combat these issues.
