How I still miss that poor old girl ... So gentle and loving but so timid with it
I'm sorry I blew my top at you, your comment just hurt my feelings as my dogs are lovely & I didn't like seeing entire breeds singled out, I know Cockapoo Lover feels the same about her dogs too
Stick around, I'd love to hear about your cats, I have 3 myself
SpringerHusky likes this.

Re: Account help

It wasn't so much your comment sardonic, what drove me to create this thread was the certain user who made rude comments about Dylan.

Please tell me if this sentence still isn't clear enough about Dylan:
Dylan is special needs, I got the impression even the vet thinks so.

Dylan is special needs, just like Beauty needed an understanding home. I wasn't around for a while because two house moves, Beauty's sicknesses and life in general got in the way.

Nothing wrong with that sentence, I know someone with a special needs cat, she gives him the best life she possibly can & I think good for her as many people would just PTS. You may want to ask your vet what kind of special needs Dylan is, so you can provide him with everything he needs

Dylan seems to be incapable of understanding danger, he tends to charge into situations being completely oblivious to danger and nearly gets himself killed.

The comment I found most offensive was the one little emo made about Dylan

I got the impression that the dog people think my username is offensive and I shouldn't post in their section.

That sounds like plenty of cats I know! My elderly cat M has no sense of danger, it just means you have to be extra vigilant with Dylan to keep him out of harm's way
Its a big forum & people can sometimes come across as harsh, sometimes its best to grow a thick skin

Re: Account help

When I talk about him to people they think I'm talking about a kitten, he has no sense of danger and cannot understand what other cats are telling him.

He seems to think that when another cat hisses at him it means they want to be friends, if they try approaching him trying to be friendly or even if they ignore him and pass by he thinks that's a threat and will attack. He does not give the other cat a chance, even when they retreat he still attacks and follows them.

With people he rolls over asking for a tummy rub, I know cats don't have much sense of danger but I have never known any cat to take it to the extreme Dylan does. I have volunteered in rescue before so I've known literally hundreds of cats.

Surely people should not be that offensive about other people's pets (for example I did not say anyone else's pets could get a life did I or at least if I did I have no recollection of doing so)

Re: Account help

All I'm saying is I am not prepared to sit back and let people be offensive about Dylan or (Rainbow Bridge) Beauty.
